Go, Me! - Taking Back the Knit...
... one stitch at a time
Go, Me!
Things are certainly quiet here at TBTK. Are people not knitting any more? Are they confident enough to not need a support group?

I quit knitting after I started working full-time again, but I'm back and at it again.

i just wanted to announce publicly that I've mastered the M1 increase and can move on to knitting this round blanket situation I've had my eye on for the last year or so (... when I have time again, I'll knit... someday... etc)

Who's working on something?

Oh, I've got tons going. A sweater for me, a pair of socks for my sister, and a sweater for my munchkin who is due to be born anytime in the next month. :)

I'm a grad student so I don't have much time to knit, but I started a sweater two weeks ago, got about eight inches up the sleeve, and then decided that the yarn was all wrong and pulled it back. But I do have the sweater basically designed, and I've tested that much of the sleeve, so that's good.

I don't knit is much when the weather is warm. It just started getting cool enough for me to pick it back up, indian summer and all.

I've been working on a baby blanket for a friend who is due in January, but have chickened out afraid she will hate the purple yarn for a boy. With Christmas just around the corner, I can't really afford to buy more yarn. I may finish it and give it to another baby, born this week to a purple loving father.

I am working on a patchwork throw. this is my first real project and I am just doing simple 8" squares in garter stitch with four different colors of this fuzzy cotton stuff I found at our local yard shop. I am almost a third of the way done :)

Another one working on holiday gifts. I've got some socks for two friends, a few hats for others, and have just started the Alene Camisole from WLD for myself. I figure I deserve a present, too. :)
